As is the case with all Geoparks worldwide, the UNESCO Géoparc de Haute-Provence contains,a type of heritage which differs from tangible heritages:
it is called the intangible heritage.
INtangible heritage is important within our area, yet it is not reakky well known and is certainly endangered.
This intangible heritage is the result of the intimate relationship between the inhabitants and their territory, it is the knowledge they have of their land.
In the UNESCO Géoparc de Haute-Provence, this heritage can be observed though several themes, primarily in the use of the Provencal language, but also in the traditional music and dance, as well as
in know-how, costumes, stories and legends.
